Now I want you to answer the following questions based on how you feel that you did with your painting using the 4 different types of paint.
1. What was your favorite type of paint and why?
2. What was your least favorite type of paint and why?
3. Now I want you to describe your artwork using 5 art terms. Write to me using full sentences. You are basically talking to me about your artwork. You should not be judging it here telling me it is good or bad. Just describe what you see within your artwork.
4. Give me some feedback on an assignment that you would like to do in the future of ART 3.

ReplyDeleteMy favorit type of paint was the water color tubes. It was easier to blend the water colors than the others. My least favorite type of paint was the tempera that I used for my 4th choice. It was harder to blend and dried fast on the paper. I like the shading in my art work. I believe it gave it more depth. The colors I used were vibrant colors which makes it stand out. Every object wasn't just one color, they had different shades and tints which made them pop, and they're layed not just laid flat out on the page. I also liked how my objects were layered on top of each other. I would want to do the melting crayon artwork.
ReplyDeletemy favorite type of paint was probably the acrylic paints because they were easier to use. my least favorite was the oils, i didn't like how they blended. my art project was colorful, shapely, warm, interesting, and unique. It was probably the worst piece iv ever done, because i didn't take my time with blending the background, or trying to make it how i really seen it, i just painted to finish it. One project id really like to do, is take a animal (personal pick from everyone) and drawl out their eyes and some of their face, then use pastels.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite paint i used was the water colors. I like using the water colors because they were easier to blend and handle. my least favorite paint was the oils because they didn't dry as fast and they were hard to blend. in my art work i see a lot of different colors in all the pumpkins. i like how i can see random shades of different colors within in the table. all the different shapes and patterns. the different texture in my background. another assignment i want to do in the future is draw on a canvas again. do a nature theme like i did in art 2.
ReplyDeletei really like oil pastels because i am more comfortable. although i feel like i need to try the new things and not care when i mess up because you have to try to get better. i liked the acrylics the least because they don't blend as easily or quickly as i would like. but i need to learn to be patient with them. mine was not well shaded. not very visually appealing. it did not have a very good background. i had trouble with proportions. and none of my lines looked how i wanted them to. and project wise i really have no preference towards what projects to do.
ReplyDeleteI liked the acrylic and the oil. It helps me add texture and blending to my pictures. The watercolors were the worst in my opinion, the blending was difficult to do with that piece. I feel the variety in my piece was wide ranged therefore making certain things better looking then others. The contrast by the different colors made it stand out more, whether they were different shades or not. The emphasis on the background and on my flowers were immaculate compared to the fruit. The overlapping of the different colors were also my favorite. It was very pleasing to look at the different shades and blends. I would like to do a whole portrait in just my favorite media. Also to be able to draw and paint what'd i like to.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite type of paint is the acrylics, it was easier to blend and shade with I thought. My least favorite type of paint is the water colors because they were the hardest to shade with. In the acrylic section there is good shading and colors. The water color section has mostly plain colors not really shaded but on the bottle there is some shading. In the oil section there is little color and just shades of grey and some brown. In the future I would like to do pictures with regular pencil shading or pen shading since I do not like to use paints.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite type of paint were the acrylics, I enjoyed these paints because they were the easiest to control with shading and color arrangement. My least favorite type of paints were the oils. These paints were hard to receive drastic shading differences and they took a very long time to dry. My painting was very diverse in each of the different sections. This helped me identify the areas I used different paints. My painting is very colorful and vibrant. I used blue, brown, and gold through out my entire picture they were very vibrant and cheerful colors. In Art 3 I would like to have a project where we did a mural somewhere inside of the school :).
ReplyDeleteAcrylics are the best type of paint for me. I did this part twice on the still life project. I mix the colors in a certain color on green grapes, for example, I used a bright green with a hint of a reddish orange on some parts of the grapes. I think acrylics is the one that I'm most comfortable and great with, especially on canvas boards. I don't do flowers, but I do a view of the forest or the ocean.
ReplyDelete1.I liked the watercolors because they blended well with each other.
ReplyDelete2.I didn’t like the Oil because it stayed wet for too long
3.In my artwork I used various colors that popped against the blue background. I liked the shading on the cat purse the most. My least favorite part was the computer charger. It overlapped to many other objects and was too distracting because of where it was placed in the center.
4. I would like to work with clay.
